If an individual is registered employed or is returning to the workforce, then he or she could make a speculative approach to their Local Enterprise Council (LEC). LECs will consider funding some types of vocational training for individuals who meet certain criteria. These criteria are determined by each LEC, and therefore may vary.

Career Development Loans – a deferred repayment bank loan which provides an individual with initial help for vocational education or training. Contact you local Employment Centre or Careers Office for further details.
