UKCC Consultation on Requirements for programmes leading to registration as a health visitor
I am delighted to send you a copy of the above consultation document for comment. This document is extremely important as it will form the basis for decisions by the new NMC on the future standards for Health Visiting education.
You may wish to respond directly to UKCC as well as contributing to the CPHVA’s response. The last date for responses to the UKCC is 14th December. However, in order to represent members' views in the CPHVA’s response I should be grateful if you could send comments to me by November 16th.
The document will be discussed at Educational and Research Committee and the Professional committee. In addition, there will be an opportunity to discuss the consultation directly with the UKCC at a special fringe meeting at our professional conference in Bournemouth on Friday 2nd November.
This is a great opportunity to shape the future development of health visiting education and the strength of response will be important in making the CPHVA’s response robust. I should be very happy to receive your comments.
