"BOLD" TV ADS TO PROTECT BABIES SUPPORTED BY CPHVA
Health visitors are giving "101% support to the NSPCC's bold TV advertising campaign" aimed at protecting babies from harm by stressed-out parents.
The Director of the Community Practitioners' and Health Visitors' Association, Jackie Carnell said: "Health visitors are in the forefront of helping parents come to terms with the stresses of having a young baby."
"The CPHVA thinks that the bold TV and poster advertisements produced for NSPCC Children's Day (Wednesday, 3 May) will have a dramatic - and perhaps controversial - impact."
"But the message is clear. If parents feel that they are on the edge, they should immediately seek advice from the health visitor, who has the expertise to give the necessary support at what can be a traumatic time."
