CPHVA CHAIR APPOINTED NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Denise Campbell, chair of the Community Practitioners' and Health Visitors' Association, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Health Development Agency, the successor of the Health Education Authority.
Denise, who lives in Elland, West Yorkshire, works as a health visitor for Huddersfield NHS Trust. She has been chair of the 18,000-strong CPHVA for the last two years.
She said: "I am delighted by the appointment. It provides a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the exciting health agenda of the HDA."
Denise has worked previously as a nurse and midwife in the UK and Africa before returning to Yorkshire to become a health visitor.
CPHVA's Director, Jackie Carnell said: "I really delighted for Denise. It is a richly deserved appointment and I am sure that she will make a significant contribution to the work of the HDA."
