‘Comment is free, but facts are sacred’

C.P.Scott, Editor, Manchester Guardian (1926)

My name is Shaun Noble and I am the Communications Officer for the CPHVA. My job takes in media relations, public relations, campaigning and publications.

The CPHVA raises its media profile by swiftly responding to queries from journalists and also by issuing press releases, commenting on topics pertinent to community nursing.

The press releases displayed here go back to the year 2000 and give an excellent snapshot of what the CPHVA has been doing during that period.

For CPHVA members that wish to do media work in their locality, there is an 18-page media pack, which you can access on this page.

It gives advice on what makes news, when a CPHVA representative can speak to the media and a DIY kit on how to write your own press release, as well as outlining how to deal with difficult questions when journalists come a calling.

If you a CPHVA member, who wishes to know more about media relations, please ring me on my direct line 020 780 4080 or email:

If you are a journalist in a hurry (as always!), you may already have my mobile number. If you don’t, it is 07780 4080.
