Press Release Press Release Press Release Press  Release

26 January, 2004

The Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association is conducting its biggest- ever membership survey to discover what its expanding membership requires from a professional association at the start of the 21st century.

The CPHVA’s membership has grown by 10% in the last year to a record figure of nearly 20,000.

The CPHVA’s director, Mark Jones said: ‘With a growing membership across the whole range of community nursing specialisms, now is an opportune time to involve the membership in this important market research exercise. The views from our members will mould the future direction of the CPHVA in the years ahead.’

The questionnaire which is being distributed to every member via the CPHVA’s Community Practitioner journal will focus on why members have joined, what activities the CPHVA does well, where there is room for improvement and which services members would like to see developed. Members can also answer the questionnaire on-line on www.amcius-cphva.org

Mark Jones said: ‘I will be very interested in the results. I believe this is the first time in its 108-year history that the Association has carried out a survey like this on such a scale.’

Members have until 19 March, 2004 to complete the survey. The results will be published in the spring.
