Pauline Byers has taken up a six-month appointment as the Professional Officer for Education
at the Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association.

Pauline, who is also Senior Lecturer in Public Health at the University of Derby, will be working
three days-a-week for the CPHVA in developing its education strategy.

Pauline said: ‘I am looking forward to working with the CPHVA committees and members
to give a strong focus to the issues that currently affect community nursing, such as practice education.’

Pauline replaces Sarah Forester who left last year to set up a Sure Start project in south- west London.
