NEW BOOK AIMED AT AVOIDING THE PITFALLS OF ‘PARTNERSHIP WORKING

A new publication designed to help community nurses work more harmoniously with other agencies has been produced by the Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association (CPHVA).

Partnership Working – If it is so easy, why aren’t we all doing it? has been written with contributions from health professionals, social services, the police, voluntary sector representatives and local government.

The book said: ‘The partnership itself will grow and develop in the same way as the family grows up and moves on, with subsequent marriages, families and partnership.’

Kathy Dunnett, chair of the book’s Partnership Working Party and a children’s trust project manager from Hertfordshire said: ‘This book is an easy-to-read blueprint as to how representatives from different agencies can avoid the many pitfalls which happen when professionals view one particular situation from various perspectives.’

The book is available - £7 for CPHVA members/ £9 for non members - from:

McMillan Scott Subscriber Services, Garrard House, 2-6 Homesdale Road, Bromley,Kent BR2 2WL - Tel: 020 8249 4454/Fax: 020 8289 7955. Web: www.cphvabookshop.com, Email: [email protected]
